THE DCC STAFF SPOTLIGHT! 

 This year we want to get to know our staff and each month we will be asking a new person to step into the spotlight! For the month of January, our spotlight is Jen Kenney. Ms. Kenney is one of our wonderful Independent Living Skills (ILS) teachers and works with our wonderful students in the culinary program here at Davis!

How many years have you worked at DCC?

4 years

How many years have you worked in FCPS?

18 years.

What is your favorite part of working at Davis?

I love that the work we do has an immediate and long-term impact for our students! Every day I get to see results from my work, and it is very rewarding!

What was your favorite job?

I have had quite a few jobs over the years and definitely have some unusual experiences, but this is by far my favorite job! I love the students we work with and the community here at Davis is amazing. I love all the differences we each bring to Davis to make it a really beautiful mosaic.

If you weren't a teacher, what would be your dream job?

If I weren’t a teacher, I think I would be a professional napper or maybe a professional traveler

Favorite Hobby?

I enjoy creating things with my hands and love to sew- especially quilts.
